Organisational Outsiders, Insiders and Partnering

This three-day residential programme is for leaders and consultants who want to forge effective partnerships, and deal with the challenges that spring from:

  • Organisational cliques and a sense of "insiderness" that can seem impenetrable
  • A sense of "outsiderness" or exclusion that seems to set some people apart from the organisations they work in or with
  • The conflict that arises when organisational insiders and outsiders are thrust together
  • The need to bring teams, units and organisations together to work in partnership or collaboratively
  • Trying to manage relationships through service level agreements and contracts
On this programme we will explore how a Gestalt approach supports:
  • Appreciating and dealing with the human need for inclusion and the effects of exclusion on organisations and people
  • Understanding and valuing "outsiderness" and "insiderness" in our self and in others
  • Working constructively with conflict
  • Gaining the most value from diversity and difference
  • Real collaboration and true partnering across team and business unit boundaries and between organisations
This work will include exploring the centre4gio's model of the "Gem of Diversity" and the concept of the Organisational Outsider as a "Conflict Diamond".
